Colour Sergeant Mick Plater
Born in Luton, Bedfordshire. Married with Two Children.
Team: Luton Town , England, British Lions.
Mick joined the Royal Marines in July 1982, on completion of,
not so, basic training was drafted
to 42Cdo RM where he served in the Falklands.
Over the years drafts included HMS Warrior, CTCRM, 40 Cdo and
the Royal Yacht Britannia, amongst others followed.
Promoted Cpl in 89 and Sgt in 95 followed by CSgt in 99.
completed Drill Leaders 2nd Class Course in 89 and 1st Class in
95.

Sgt Tony Blanden
Born in SE London. Married.
Team: Charlton Athletic FC & Beach volley ball.
Tony joined Royal Marines in March 83 on completion of training
drafted to 45Cdo RM, further drafts to 40 Cdo, RMB Stonehouse,
CTCRM amongst others followed.
DL2's Cse 95 DL1's Cse 99.
Took part in Queen Mothers funeral and golden Jubilee

represented Royal Marines and Royal Navy at rugby

HMS Northwood HMS Endurance and CTCRM.

Mick joined the RMR in 1987 passed out as best recruit in 89.
He has served with 45 Cdo in norway,40cdo & USMC IN AMERICA,
worked with
psyops teams with the corps.
completed Jcc(R)91, Scc(R)95, PTI Cse 95 participated in French
raid
commando competition (on the winning team)
Over Seas Liaison Officer for Respecting Valour.
